What formats are Terminal Design fonts available in?
OpenType®

What is OpenType®?
OpenType® is a cross-platform font file format developed jointly by Adobe and Microsoft. The two main benefits of the OpenType format are its cross-platform compatibility (the same font file works on Macintosh and Windows computers), and its ability to support widely expanded character sets and layout features, which provide richer linguistic support and advanced typographic control. OpenType comes in two "Flavors" Postscript (.otf) and TrueType (.ttf).
Learn more about OpenType.

CFF Postscript (.otf)
OpenType fonts that are based on PostScript outlines have the suffix .otf and are cross-platform compatible with Macintosh and Windows. The same font file will work on both Macintosh and Windows provided the proper utilities are installed on your system.
See: System Requirements

TrueType (.ttf)
OpenType fonts that contain TrueType outlines such as Terminal Design's ClearviewHwy fonts have the suffix .ttf. This font format is supported natively by Macintosh and Windows operating systems. Macintosh operating systems prior to OSX may have some problems with these fonts. If you require TrueType Opentype fonts for use on these earlier Macintosh OS's please Contact Us directly.

Language Support
All of our fonts contain extensive latin glyphs sets that support all of the major and most of the minor European languages that use the latin script. Some of our fonts also support Cyrillic. There are some slight variations between some of our font families.
ClearviewHwy and ClearviewADA are not quite as robust in their glyph complement as the rest of our fonts.
A complete glyph set is shown for each font.

How does ClearviewText differ from ClearviewOne
ClearviewText contains the same glyph shapes as ClearviewOne except for the Black Condensed and Black Compressed fonts which have been completely redrawn. The spacing and kerning have been improved so there will be text reflow when ClearviewText replaces ClearviewOne in a document. ClearviewText contains a much larger character set which contains several different figure styles as well as small caps. If your specifications absolutely require ClearviewOne please Contact Us directly.
